HOW IT GOT STARTED

When I was younger, around 6 years old, I started playing soccer and basketball. I played town soccer, but I didn’t play basketball for a club. I continued playing basketball until 8th grade, while I still play soccer. When I was in fourth grade, my mom put me in a LEGO robotics camp over the summer and I ended up winning an award that summer, which was Fastest Robot to follow a curving line with a color sensor. As I spent more time doing robotics, I started to realize my love for it and my continued pursuing it and I ended up doing VEX Robotics throughout middle school. The middle school that I went to was Saint Augustine School in Andover, MA.

Currently About Me

What I’m doing nowadays is Robotics, 3D Design, Computer Science, and Soccer. My interest in robotics forced me to learn programming because my team needed a programmer and I figured that I should do it. From learning to program robots, I learned to program in python and I ended up making an educational tool, but mostly ways to exploit games. I even learned how to make an IOS app, so I made a couple of apps as well for the Apple store, but I haven’t released them. In the time I wasn’t busy building robots, I would 3D design parts for robots for various purposes. For example, I made a part that jacks up the robot, so it becomes easier to work on the bottom of the bot while others are working on the top or side of it. From my enthusiasm for 3D Design, my parents ended up purchasing a 3D printer for me in 2016. The printer that my parents got for me was the monoprice maker select 3D printer. Ever since I got my printer in 2016, I have learned the ins and outs of 3D printers and can fix almost any problem. It also means that I know a lot about the 3D design process and can make a perfect design on almost the first try. I also still play soccer, although now I don’t play it for the competitiveness, I play for the fun of the sport. Like I mentioned before I am currently a freshman at Austin Preparatory School in Reading, MA.

" I think that if you can make something functional as well as aesthetically pleasing, then it is a well designed part."

I don’t know what will happen in the future, but I plan to do something in STEM. My current academic interests are math and history. I’m good at making projects and presentations because I try to make them creative and fun. Currently, I’m thinking about being a robotics major, so that is really what I am focusing on. The thing that I want to do when I grow up is 3D Design custom parts to make interestingly designed parts for robots. I still haven’t decided on a college that I want to attend, but I think some of my top choices would the colleges that have a good at STEM program.

The original purpose of this blog is a way to turn in assignments for one of the classes that I took at school. However, I believed that it has kinda turned into something of a passion project where I will continue to post my STEM related items that I do so that it will just eventually turn into an archive of my projects.
